Terry B Hanson Born Vancouver BC. Hanson is the son of a concert
violinist. Hanson's father was acclaimed the best violinist in
Canada when he was 16 years of age (Hanson’s Father).
Aside from having a father who was a musical prodigy Terry Hanson
started playing guitar at the age of 6.
Hanson received
an A.A. at Douglas College Conservatory of Music and a
Bachelor of Music degree on classical guitar at the University of
British Columbia in 1989. As a student his main teachers were one of
Andreas Segovia’s prodigies from The Hague in the Netherlands and
and a guitar instructor from the Berkley School of Music. In
the commercial idiom, the long list of recording artists he played
and associated with include Chad Allen (and the Expressions- Founder
of Canada’s Guess Who) Five Man Cargo [club gigs and tour with Brave
Belt and Loverboy (one of promoter Bruce Allen's First Bands in
Vancouver BC)] The Hornets (London England a Beatles Tribute Band booked by Siegel
Entertainment and
Whitefoot
Entertainment) Trooper Downchild Blues Band (Toronto, Ontario)
Doctor Fingers (Vancouver Blues Pianist) Powder Blues (Vancouver
Blues Band) Bill Lewis (Vancouver Guitar Builder), Hanson’s Solo
Engagements “from Blues to Bach” and more . . . .. In addition Terry
Hanson was knighted a member of the Canadian rock legend "The Quess
Who" for his guitar talents. Chad Allen conducted The Knighting
Ceremony at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort in Agassiz, BC Canada.
Nontheless Hanson spent a considerable period of time as guest
conductor with various educational ensembles and military bands
throughout British Columbia, Canada.

A
HUMAN BEING is part of the whole called by us universe, a part
limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and
feelings as something separate from the rest. A kind of optical
delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us,
restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few
persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from the
prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living
creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. The true value of a
human being is determined by the measure and the sense in which they
have obtained liberation from the self. We shall require a
substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive. (Albert
Einstein,
1954)
